Course Instruction

Select ICEF schools offer courses in music. ICEF Vista Academy Elementary provides a chorus class to all elementary students. The Vista Choir performs at school site events and annually at our ICEF Arts Show.

ICEF View Park Preparatory High School offers UC approved classes in Digital Music Production and Global Awareness Through Hip Hop. Our high school also offers extended and diversified music participation opportunities through the after-school program and clubs.

Students may elect to participate in a daily student-led drum line, while others study and play contemporary music as part of a student led band directed by Sound Art. Sound Art is a non-profit music education group. Their instructors teach students to play the guitar, bass, keyboard, and sing.

Music in Performing Arts

All students participating in our extracurricular performing arts program are instructed in singing lessons for chorus. Lead actors receive instruction from professional voice coaches. These students learn to sing with the accompaniment of professional musicians. In this program, student performances take place in both community and professional theaters. We proudly hold our annual spring musical at the Nate Holden Theater.
